Throughout his career one of Huntly's prime responsibilities has been Health and Safety. He has always taken very seriously his role in helping management provide a safe working environment. Over the past thirty years he has seen many expensive approaches that do not work and implemented some very cost effective solutions that dramatically improved safety.

Huntly has broad experience in accident prevention ranging from job safety analysis through training for supervisors or employees. He has given many workshops on hazard identification and accident prevention using his extensive training and experience in workshop development and facilitation skills. Huntly is appreciated for his ability to gain maximum participation from all members of a group, maintaining the self-esteem of all participants and for effectively covering the material in the allotted time.
